Compiling WINDOWS 7 /AntiVir Guard

Compiling WINDOWS 7 /AntiVir Guard

Postby Otto » Tue Nov 17, 2009 7:27 pm

Compiling under
WINDOWS 7 /AntiVir Guard installed
I get sometimes a warning: HTML-Scriptvirus HTML/Crypted.Gen. in one of the c-files.

Does someone know what this could be?
Thanks in advance
Otto

Does it tell you which file it doesn't like?

Michael, it was a c-file created from my source code.
I will post more when I see the warning again.
Best regards,
Otto

It's clearly a false alarm by AntiVir Guard.

Hello Michael, hello Enrico,

today I never saw the warning. I noticed that AntiVir Guard made 6 or 7 updates yesterday.

Maybe they changed something.

Best regards,
Otto

You should write to the AntiVir Guard staff to report the false alarm, attaching the offending C source code.

I suppose that is it possible that it is not a false alarm and that some virus is adding code to the compiler output. Either way I would send it to the AV company for analysis.

Possible maybe yes, but very far from probable.

Hello Enrico, hello james,

I will send the file to AntiVir Guard.
But today the warning only appeared once and I missed to save the output – file.
Best regards,
Otto
