Cesar,
Mod Harbour is technically stable and capable, but its adoption is hindered by communication issues and unrealistic expectations about ease of conversion.
It encountered issues related to feature creep -the continuous addition of new features to a project beyond its original scope- and scope creep - uncontrolled expansion of project goals and objectives -, which have negatively impacted its development and usability.

Best regards,
Otto

I don't really understand what you mean. Could you explain a little what you really mean...?

Charly,
I think every time someone decides to start with the web, a new variant is presented: Mod Harbour, V1, V2, V2.1, CGI, UT, Runner, WebUI, TWeb.

The real issue, needing a web server, is not addressed.
OK, your UT approach.

Back in 2020, Antonio offered for all of us XBHost, a hosting service for Mod Harbour.

https://mybergland.com/fwforum/xbhosts.mp4

But this was closed due to a lack of interest.

Otto

Otto,

The only problem I see with the lack of interest is that IT professionals truly understand that the way is quite complex. Many times, I’ve read that you claim it’s not difficult, but that’s not accurate.

In last few years, you’ve learned many things, but the crucial point in this statement isn’t the quantity of knowledge acquired; it’s the ‘last few years.’ Whether you like it or not, the issue isn’t just about servers and their configurations (which is true), nor is it solely about learning native languages (which is true), or grasping the web paradigm and its architecture (which is true), or even building confidence as a web developer (which is also essential). It's the time

In summary, it’s not about the server or the ever-growing toos. The real challenge lies in the investment required to educate oneself and learn how to find solutions. I have a clear understanding of the natural way, but we need to discover a way that benefits the majority of Harbour programmers.

If you tell me what the is the way...then I already know what the result is.

Charly,
I have read your post several times and thought about it.
It will really be as you say. Unfortunately.

La programación web no fácil,
si fuera fácil ya estaríamos todos en el mismo barco,
no es fácil cambiar el chip,
se requiere amplios conocimientos de:

en mi caso:

-Servidores
-Hosting
-Dominios
-PHP
-HTML
-CSS
-bootstrap
-Java Scrip
-etc.

ModHarbour no lo puede solo,

Saludos !

Cesar,

I believe that HTML, CSS, and JAVASCRIPT are overall easy. Yes, you have to get involved, but now with the help of ChatGPT, it's easy. There are certainly some people in the forum who can help with the transition from desktop to web. Surely, you shouldn't set yourself too complex tasks at the beginning. But it's just fun to be able to play with the big ones again.
Best regards,
Otto

Otto,
lo primero que debemos de tener en cuenta es, que no todo lo vamos a resolver
con nuestro viejo CLIPPER.PRG, hay que aprender a interactuar con otros
lenguajes y SQL.
