This is NOT related to FiveWin but I'm hoping some other people using ADS may be experiencing this right now and have seen some info on what is going on.
In the last few days, a Windows 10 update has hit machines causing some major problems. Apparently these have to do with security settings changes ( not documented or tested of course ). On computers where ADS Server has been running for years without a problem ( ADS 8.1, 32 bit ), suddenly it won't start. Using the Configuration Utility, and pressing the Start button, the spinning icon appears for a few seconds, and then the start button reappears.
I've now seen this on the systems with two clients ( but maybe more will report it today and tomorrow ). It is not happening everywhere ( yet ). I have ADS 11.1 on my system and it is still working fine.
This is a problem being reported on other forums, and is specific to 32 bit versions of ADS. There is no 64 bit version 7 or 8. Everyone also acknowledges that all was running fine before the anniversary edition update to Windows 10.
I would appreciate any links to articles on this, or anything others may have found in dealing with it.
