First worldwide FiveWin developers conference!!!

We are just 800 euros away to make another dream come true. All together, as we have done all the great tools that we use for our daily work. The same way that we used to build Harbour, the same magic that we used to create the best xbase compiler that ever existed in the world!!!

And all this magic is thanks to each of you. Because Clipper hearts never die, because together we are able to make real any dream that we could dream about!!!

Sarabjeet from India is close to finish the Intellisense suport for our soon to come Harbour language extension for Visual Studio. Finally we will take Harbour to the level that it deserves, to be recognized as one of the best professional compilers that ever existed. And all these have been possible thanks to each of you, thanks to each friend that trusted, that felt that together we can do incredible things!

So once both projects are done, more steps done on on our way, it will be a perfect moment to do the first WorldWide Harbour + FiveWin developers conference. It has been many years on these forums, helping each other, supporting each other, and its the right time to meet us personally. To see our faces, to shake hands, to smile together, because we deserve it. Because we are simply great!!!

We could do it at Otto's hotel close to the Alpes Mountains (Otto, will it be available ?), or at any other place that we decide together. We also deserve a great conference, because we have been working hard for so many years and its the right time to finally know each other personally, so come on, lets make another dream come true, because we deserve it!!!

It will be fantastic to know us personally, we have lost friends on our way, and it will be a nice time to remember all of them, to publically say thank you to all of you, because without you this would have never existed, ever.

In the US ( and probably elsewhere ), if enough people rent rooms in a hotel, they will often provide the meeting room at no charge. The cost can then be as little as transportation and meals. Of course airfare will be expensive anywhere.

Some cities love to host conferences and the costs of the rooms will be better for everyone. In the "old days" Clipper conferences were held by the Los Angeles airport ( not very glamorous ), and then in San Diego and Palm Springs. San Diego loves to host conferences and has many more affordable options.

No matter where you decide to host it, check for conference friendly locations.

Otto has a lovely hotel at Alps Mountains and he already contacted me to let me know that he will be so happy to host the conference there, so I am sure that there we will get all that is needed to have a great conference

That is great news! The Alpes Mountains sound great! Do you have an estimated date for the conference?

Not sure yet, I would say that at least Christmas, as I want to provide each attendee a free copy of the Harbour language extension for Visual Studio and also I would like to do a session to show you how to work with Visual Studio. So that means that the Harbour Language Extension for Visual Studio should be finished previously. I would like to introduce the Visual Studio low level debugger, the profiler, etc. to all of you.

Also I would like that each of you that want to give an speach, to say it in advance, as I would like that there are many technical sessions. I mean, it will not be just to meet each other but also a great technical event. Maybe two days or so of lot of technical sessions and you will be able to choose which ones you want to attend.

So if someone of you want to give an speach (no matter about what) it is also now the right moment to say it You don't need to be an expert, maybe you just want to show to all of us your application, your design, your techniques, whatever! We are a group of friends so whatever you may consider interesting to share, we are open to it.

Hi Antonio,

I would purchase and use it right away. However, I have not seen any postings about documentation and samples. I have an urgent need to transfer my FWH applications to the web as I have customers that are demanding web based applications and my competitors are taking business away from me because I do not have a solution other than rewriting application in .NET or other web development language which would take at least one year. I would be there even if event was on the Moon!
