New FTDN - Oct/Nov

Antonio,

I have set up the latest version of FWH2.6, and attempted to compile a program that has always linked no problem.

With this version, I get no errors, but when I run the program the cursor goes to "wait" then it never loads. The program does not appear in the Task Manager, either. I have installed the "Fiveh().libs" from the Zip files, so it should be right up to date.
The previous version of FWH2.6 (Sep) had no dramas.

It does the same with "tutor01" as well.

regards,
Richard.

Richard,

Are you using Harbour or xharbour ?

Are you using the latest builds we have provided or the one from CVS ?

Hi Antonio,

I have always used Harbour, and the libs supplied by you. Have you made any major changes to the calling of functions? I use the ziparchive and zlib libraries which I have simply copied from one version to another. Also I have a library of functions and classes that I do the same with.

I have had problems before where the buildh.bat file has not been up to date with the package, eg. this time it did not have "hbsix" or "dbffpt".libs in the file.

"Buildx.bat" works with tutor01, but though I have tried to port my library to xHarbour, I keep on getting major hassles when trying to create an "obj" file in bcc.

Antonio,

Just to add to the confusion, the prg's in the harbour tests directory work fine

Richard,

What was the problem ?

Hi Antonio,

I am not sure what happened. When I installed the Harbour originally, compilation was coming up with an error in the "dbfdbt" lib. I used one from an earlier version, and everything went pear shaped. When I reinstalled everything, it worked fine. One of life's mysteries no. 546.
There may have been a glitch in expanding that particular file on the original installation.

Richard.
