How difference between Threads and Timer do?

How difference between Threads and Timer do?

Postby dutch » Sun Sep 08, 2013 4:06 am

Dear All,

I would like to know the difference between Threads and Timer. I've used timer but never use Threads. I think the threads will be working every specific interval. What is the good point of each one?

Thank you in advance for any help and idea.

Regards,
Dutch

I don't know the internal secrets of threads but in my experience timers and background tasks are faster than threads. The problem with timers and background tasks is that they are inactive in some kind of loop without Sysrefresh() inside them.
