Dear Philippe,

Your batch is configured for 32-bit Harbour and BCC. A 64-bit build needs matching 64-bit FWH libraries, Harbour runtime libraries, and a C compiler/linker. Changing only bcdir is not enough.

Before choosing the downloads, please tell us the version of your FW64 package and which library files it contains. You can list them with:

Code: Select all | Expand

dir C:\your_FW64_folder\lib\Five* /b

Also paste the compiler/path section of the 64-bit build batch included in that package. The current FWH scripts have separate BCC64 and MSVC64 routes, so we should use the one matching your libraries rather than adapt the 32-bit batch blindly.

Dear Philippe,

1. Where to obtain BCC64

Embarcadero's official C++Builder download page is:
https://www.embarcadero.com/products/cbuilder/downloads

However, please do not download a compiler at random yet. The separate "Free C++ Compiler" page lists BCC32C/BCC32X, which are not BCC64:
https://www.embarcadero.com/free-tools/ccompiler

There is another important distinction: Embarcadero documents BCC64 and BCC64X as different Win64 toolchains. BCC64 uses ELF object files; BCC64X uses COFF64. They should not be treated as interchangeable when choosing the compiler for existing FWH/Harbour libraries:
https://docwiki.embarcadero.com/RADStud ... s/en/BCC64
https://docwiki.embarcadero.com/RADStud ... /en/BCC64X

The C++Builder page above is the official download entry point, not confirmation that its current download contains the precise compiler version required by your FW64 package. That is why I would first identify your package before recommending a specific installer.

2. Do you need Harbour for 64 bits?

Yes, you need Harbour runtime libraries built for the 64-bit target and the selected C toolchain. Your existing 32-bit Harbour libraries cannot be linked into a 64-bit application.

It is the same Harbour project and language, but a different target build. Harbour's own build documentation lists separate Windows targets such as win/bcc, win/bcc64 and win/msvc64:
https://github.com/harbour/core/

The Harbour compiler translates your PRG into C; the C compiler and linker then produce the executable. The architecture of the Harbour compiler program itself is not the key issue: the generated application, Harbour runtime, FWH libraries and other linked libraries must all match the 64-bit target and toolchain.

3. The next small step

Please tell us your FW64 version and paste the result of this command, replacing the folder with your actual FW64 folder:

Code: Select all | Expand

dir C:\your_FW64_folder\lib\Five* /b

Also paste the compiler/path section at the beginning of the 64-bit build batch supplied with that package. The batch you posted earlier points to the 32-bit BCC/Harbour environment.

For orientation, the FWH BCC64 route uses Five64.a / FiveC64.a, while the MSVC64 route uses FiveH64.lib / FiveHC64.lib. Seeing your actual files will let us distinguish these routes without guessing.

Dear Philippe,

Thank you for the library list. Since you want to start with BCC64, the FWH libraries for that route are Five64.a and FiveC64.a.

Harbour for BCC64

You can download the Harbour BCC 7.7 64-bit build from this public FiveTech repository:
https://github.com/FiveTechSoft/harbour ... our_builds

The file is harbour_bcc770_64_20260404.zip. Direct download:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/FiveT ... 260404.zip

I checked the archive: it contains the Harbour tools under bin\win\bcc64, headers under include, and the Harbour libraries under lib\win\bcc64. Extract it into a separate folder, for example C:\harbour_bcc64, keeping that directory structure. Do not overwrite your working 32-bit Harbour installation.

BCC64 itself is separate

That Harbour archive does not contain the Embarcadero BCC64 C compiler or linker. Obtain those through Embarcadero's licensed C++Builder distribution:
https://www.embarcadero.com/products/cbuilder/downloads

Please check with Embarcadero that the distribution/version you obtain includes the legacy BCC64 toolchain needed here, rather than assuming that the newer BCC64X is a replacement. The separate free BCC32 compiler is not the 64-bit compiler.

Once you have BCC64, please paste the compiler/path section of the 64-bit build batch supplied with your FW64 package. We can then check the FWH, Harbour and BCC64 folder settings together. The Harbour download alone is not enough to build the executable.
