Jeff,

can You explain the fileproblem ?
Partition-problem or file corrupt ?
I'm just busy, to recover a complete harddisk.
Maybe I can help and give You the needed infos.
I think the old NORTON I have still somewhere on a backup-CD,
but there are much better tools I'm using.

best regards
Uwe :?:

Hi Uwe,

I have a dbf that seems perfectly fine when I open it with either my program or a dbf editor however, when I run my upgrade program I gives an open error.
If I replace the dbf with another copy everything works fine.

I just wanted to run the old filefix to see if it makes any difference as I don't understand why this one copy will not open in the upgrade prg.
Thanks,
Jeff Barnes

You might try this free DBF repair program:

http://www.winsite.com/Utilities/Backup/DBF-Fix-Free/

I have not used it, so I don't know how well it works.

Thanks James ... The download site if off-line :(

I was able to get it going ... I used a portable app (DBFPlus.exe) to open the DBF and export it to a new DBF file. The new file works fine.
Thanks,
Jeff Barnes
