Microsoft buries Edge and embraces Chromium

In another move to Open Source, Microsoft is going to set aside all the development related to its own engine and adopt Chromium.

After all this years of fighting against MSIE incompatibilities, this looks like good news for developers. In the other hand, it makes Chrome too much stronger in the browser's arena, having only Firefox like a real and significant contender.
What's going to happen in Win10?
What about the use of OCX to show HTML in our apps? How long will it survive?
May it is time to think in alternatives like Chromium Embedded Framework.
