In a 2-tier (true client-server) application, data is managed by the server. Index operations are performed on the server end. Without ADS, (that's when the server is only used as a shared drive) each record travels from the shared drive on the server ...

graphics effects are managed by the GPU (not the CPU) so they should not affect the overall performance. Its all in our minds :-)

In my opinion, Microsoft is getting paranoid about this. I don't like obsessed attitudes...

Uwe, I managed to compile using xBuildW and it works ok. The problem that nothing happens no mater what I do (doesn't save cropped part or resized image, always save the same image as the original Maybe I am not doing right something ...

64bit MingW libs?

Hi Antonio,

Have you managed to build them yet? I have successfully built my app against 32 bit. XCC compiler has a gpf in the linker, and msvc from c++ visual studio 10 is not cooperating yet :)
