Thansk for the answers

I have now the hssl libs for xharbour however when a link it i get UNRESOLVED EXTERNAL _HB_FUN_"NAME OF THE FUCTION CALLED AT THE PRG"

How can I solve this?

... doing nothing. Even then it is not an issue. If you fail to open recordset, just close and reopen the connection and try again. We have better answers. Also please see my reply to Mr James' post.
