Hi Antonio.
Thank you (as always) for the prompt response.
Hmmmnnn...
I've tried that (installed xHB but copied FWH from a backup of a FWH folder that I happened to have) but no luck. When I try to compile I receive an error within xHarbour Builder that reads "Error: Couldn't build". I seem to ...

Re: Harbour / FiveWin on Windows 7
Hi folks.
It's been a while!!! How're things???
I can only assume that this issue was resolved??? Only problem: I don't really see the solution posted here???
I've no option but to now install my old xHB and FWH (January 2007) on a Windows 7 (32-bit) workstation. Just ran a standard install (used ...

Re: Save and Restore Dialog Position
Hey ronaldo,
Thank YOU TOO for posting an example.
I thought that seeing everybody is being so helpful (as always) (and I'm especially grateful seeing as I've not 'been around' for a few years) I'd post MY 'version' for comparison (completed before getting all of the invaluable input that I’ve ...

Re: Save and Restore Dialog Position
Hi Uwe,
Once again: thank you for taking all of that time and going to all of that effort to post a complete sample.
I had already got it working before I checked my email (and therefore this thread) although not QUITE as 'elegantly' as you in your sample!!! LOL!!!
Well and the above being said ...

Re: Save and Restore Dialog Position
Hello again,
Thanks for the help Uwe (I'd actually typed another response to you prior to this one but for some reason I saved it as a 'Draft' instead of 'Submitting' it so the information in that post is now irrelevant).
OK: I think I've 'got it'.
I need to write an additional function that uses ...

Save and Restore Dialog Position
Hello,
A 'quick simple one' (I hope).
I have written my 'little app' and it works 'beautifully' (even if I have to say so myself). LOL!!!
However: is there any way to save the position of the dialog (application) (let's assume that on your 'first run' you moved it by dragging it to where you want ...

Re: FWH / xHB and ActiveX
Good morning everyone.
And hello James. It's nice to hear from you. Interface design is (was???) always one of my favorite topics as well (as long as a piece of software LOOKS good then I make the assumption that it's a good piece of software)!!! LOL!!! In hindsight (and after reading your much ...

Re: FWH / xHB and ActiveX
Hi everybody.
Hello Enrico. Nice to hear from you and thanks for the greeting.
Antonio:
I’m astonished!!! It ‘works like a charm’ (and here I thought this was going to be one HUGE ‘mission’ to get working).
Alright: some of the functions don’t appear to work and I think it’s got to do with the ...

Re: FWH / xHB and ActiveX
WOW!!!
Thanks Antonio. As easy at that (although I've not tried it yet but it gives me a 'base' to work from tomorrow). I'm guessing I don't have to worry 'TActiveX' in FWH or anything like that??? It's easy when you know how I guess!!! LOL!!!

Hello again.
In addition to my previous reply (above) I should have included this link as well:

Hi Antonio,
Well: I see that FiveTech Support is as good as ever!!!
Thanks for the prompt response.
I'll download the demo and send the file to you but I'm not sure that's going to be of any help i.e. it requires that another piece of software (the trading platform software) is running in order ...

FWH / xHB and ActiveX
Hi everyone.
I guess one could call this 'a blast from the past'!!! LOL!!!
I don't expect anyone to remember me i.e. the last time I posted here and was involved in the IT Business was around 2006. I do see, however, that Mr. James Bott is still around (who helped me out tremendously when I first ...

Function to determine the number of decimal places?
Hello everyone,
Long time - no post!
I have been pulling my hair out to work this one out and I just do not seem to be able to get it right:
Is there a function that will return the number of decimal places that a number has?
Examples:
1.9873 has 4 decimal places
13.15 has 2 decimal places
9780 ...
