Exercism and Harbour

Exercism and Harbour

Postby axtens » Mon Apr 22, 2024 5:35 am

(If there's a better place for this announcement please let me know)

"Solve coding exercises and get mentored to develop fluency in your chosen programming languages. Exercism is open-source and not-for-profit."

Currently there is no xbase language learning track. I have made a formal request to add a Harbour track on the expectation that Harbour is a good representative for the xbase family.

Dear Bruce,

Thanks for sharing it with us!

I see it as a very good initiative.

I have been reviewing the Harbour examples provided in https://github.com/ajborla/exercism-exercise-and-unit-tests-sample-for_Harbour
and to me there are many Harbour coding areas that are missing in those examples, like codeblocks, arrays, hashes, classes, extend system use to enhance it using C, user defined commands, preprocessor use, etc. to mention some of them.

I encourage you to enhance it and make it a real usefull Harbour coding learning start point!

This AI implementation may be usefull to help coding those examples: https://hf.co/chat/assistant/66229318ae991ee8ad79a177
Anyhow in these forums there are lots of working examples to be freely used too :-)
regards, saludos
