Fwh-Backgrd.-images converted / repainted to WIDESCREEN

Postby ukoenig » Tue May 31, 2016 10:02 am

Hello,

because of modern monitors
I converted the Fwh-backgrounds to WIDESCREEN
These images are NOT only stretched
they are repainted, keeping the aspect ratio of the objects.
Like You can see, objects are NOT distorted !!!
As well I increased the quality
I will see, if there are still more nice images can be used.

Format 800 x 600 to 1280 x 720

Format 800 x 600 to 1980 x 1020

There are very nice wallpapers in the internet,
but most of them are only with size 800 x 600 created in the past :(
Here is a way how to make them useful :

For the users are interested :

To repaint the images to a new size, You need some special tools
At first resize the 800 x 600 image to the new hight 1020

Next You have to cut the images in peaces and replace after stretching to 1980
the different areas with the saved pieces including the striking objects.

Sample : Office.bmp
the left and right are shown wth keeping the aspect ratio the water in the middle is streched
The same logic is used with Sea.bmp. on the left hand side water is added.

More difficult with Earth.bmp. The middle is original
On left and right the globe is new repainted
You can see clearly the added / cloned space on the left hand side.

Next You have to soften the connection peace of the different areas.

Sometimes You need a < Clone-brush > to fill a earea.

but maybe to comlicated to explain.

SET 2 with some more samples

In image 1 I had only to save the trees
in Image 2 are NO special objects to be saved
Image 3 was the hardest. I had to rearange the beach to keep the houses
Image 4 sky added on the right hand side
