Re: dbfntx very slow with 2+ users

Marco,

SSD is the point for DBF speed.
Why don't you use RDP?
This way you have a local system.

Best regards,
Otto

Re: System info, Tips & Tricks, scharing project info

... today you can simply save them as files on the hard drive. The difference in the read/write speed between the main memory (RAM) and the hard disk (SSD) has also greatly reduced and is approaching zero. In the future, there will no longer be any difference between hard disk access and main memory ...

Re: Installation of mod_harbour as module or fastcgi handler

Hey Antonio,

SSD: good question, nominal yes. Our server is a virtual machine, the ressources are not dedicated. I will dig into this further.

ace64.dll: ok, understood.

Re: Installation of mod_harbour as module or fastcgi handler

Christoph,

Are you using a SSD drive ?

ace64.dll can't be freely redistributed so I guess there is no other option except run the installer they provide and later grab what you may need
You only need it if you plan to use ADS. If not, then you have the install the mod_harbour that does not use ADS.

Re: Peer to Peer, NAS and NTX -> CDX
