Re: BCC 7.0 - what do you think about ?

... the 7.00 too. What do you think about ? Which advantages do we have moving to 7.00 ? Is there a better speed or better integration with the latest OSs (eg Windows 10) ? Thank you in advance I can see no immediate advantages (ie. speed, etc.) but I agree with Antonio: better using updated compilers.

hua wrote:I use grep. It comes with BCC

+1.
If you are using BCC, grep is a good option. And it is also available in Unix type OSs, like Linux and OSX.

Re: Next target: EasyReport !!! :-)

... the project. I've never even looked at Fast Report. My projects are doing well in 32 bit mode. Until we see commonly sold 128 bit computers / OSs, I have no reason to focus on 64 bit. Thus, that is not an issue for my applications. In fact, even Microsoft, with all their resources, suggests ...

Re: The right MS C compiler for FWH 64

Antonio,

Since I am building with the 32bit version of Visual Studio 2012 ( I assume making 32 bit .exes ), then I assume those specifications do not need to be met. Although all new computers are generally 64 bit ( and run 32 bit software ), most of my clients have a mix of 32 and 64 bit OSs.

Re: Validate get

Hi, Antonio.

FWH Ver 13.03

I found the solution this morning.

These did not work:
valid( !empty(cSS_NUM) )
valid( !empty(oSS_Num:Value()) )

This DID work:
oSS_Num:bvalid := { !empty(oSS_Num:Value()) }
