Re: IS IT POSSIBLE TO MAKE THIS CONTROL

... would I re-write a very complex program with over 100,000 lines of code, to use on a network , when it works perfectly on one now, is rock solid, incredibly fast, and completely satisfies my clients? How would they benefit? If it was a New program, fine, but I see no gain from doing all of that ...

Re: How does mod harbour work

Dear Otto,

Harbour is very powerful using strings, so basically what we do is search for "<?prg" and then for "?>" and what it is in between is compiled and replaced :-)

Harbour incredibly feature to compile in runtime lets us do incredibly things.

that simple ;-)

Re: dbfntx very slow with 2+ users

If any of you are using filters this will be incredibly slow over a network. You need to use scopes instead.

Also, as someone else mentioned, you need to open only the databases needed for the routine, then close them when done.

Re: Introducing FiveTech's fivedit

Ok, I see that it does highlight the matching brace when one is highlighted with the cursor. That is useful too.

My current editor does both--automatically add the trailing brace, and highlight the matching one.

The more you think about editors, the more you realize how incredibly complex they are.
