... at my age, I just want to keep my clients happy with updates, and I'm not trying to compete in the newest programming styles and languages. Frankly, the reason I don't "stop" is because clients actually have called me and asked me to not do that. So I do continue, but I also focus ...

Re: EasyReport progress?

... It would take well over a year for me to reprogram what I have under mod-harbour. At this stage in my life, that is a huge investment of time, and frankly, the likelihood of a return on my investment is very small. I would be interested in exploring it ( perhaps ) for smaller projects, but not ...

Re: save backup solution how?

... and there is no gain. If they were fully successful, they would only cause a small business owner the time to reformat and reload everything. Frankly, that would take less time than it would take to hack the process. So far we have experienced no problem. Hopefully, that will continue. It ...

Re: DBF editors

... And for me yours at the moment is the completest. I mean we need: name, logo, helpfile, API, a person/team who is keeping the source code. Maybe “ frankly dBase ” could be a good name.  The word by word translation to German sounds good – but I do not know if “franky dBase” would hit the sense ...

OT: It's getting harder !

... Could it be old age ? Is it just new FW builds conflicting with old programming styles ? Could it be Windows 10, Harbour, FWH, or MSVC 2015 ? Frankly, it can be a combination of these, and it's just plain getting harder to figure out what is happening, why, and how to fix it. I suppose that ...

Antonio uses Harbour, and the developers there will cooperate with him. xHarbour was a variant and frankly those folks were not supportive of his work. Re: Fivedroid on Qt

Antonio, That is a nice idea, but it takes a LOT of time. You are competing against teams of thousands of developers. Frankly, if I had my choice, and you were going to divert your time, I would suggest it be to creating a cloud based system where we could store and retrieve our data. ...

... thus they can be in DBF/CDX mode naturally, and if it is present, they are in Client Server mode. I recommend it for more then two workstations. Frankly, if a company needs more then 2 workstations, it can afford an ADS license. Your cost to develope for it is free. Thats pretty affordable.
