Colin, xHarbour.com last released a "stable" version in November, 2007. Ever since then they have been betas. Patrick posted that a new version would be released "any day" over a week ago, but in a response to my question, he indicated it was still a beta with many changes ...

... Nov 2007. I do have access to the more recent builds but there have been suggestions of problems, and there is always the warning that they are betas with bugs to be expected. I know that the Nov. build has bugs ... what doesn't, but it was the last stable release and it has served me fairly ...

November 2007 is the latest commercial version of xHarbour. Anything beyond that is considered betas for testing purposes only, and not exactly stable.

Thanks, but those betas are already finished.

It was enough to install the "Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Shell (isolated mode) Redistributable Package" and now the "Visual Studio 2008 SDK Version 1.0" is properly installing.

No se si sea de que tenemos uno de los primeros betas de Vista, pero hasta el momento de hacer nuestras pruebas, los programas de 16 bits, hechos con cualquier version de FiveWin NO FUNCIONAN EN VISTA, ...

FW (32 bits) applications should work with no problems on Windows Vista, anyhow we are waiting for a stable Windows Vista beta to start doing more tests. We have tested several betas but they were quite unstable.
